Volunteer Opportunity – Chair of the Wells Environment Network (WEN)
The Wells Environment Network (WEN) - wenvironment.org.uk brings together local organisations, community groups, and businesses to promote practical action for a more sustainable and resilient Wells. Building on the momentum of a highly successful Wells EcoWeek, WEN is entering an exciting new phase of growth, collaboration, and influence across the city.
Our current Chair, Denise Denis will be taking on the role of Mayor of Wells next year. We are therefore seeking a new volunteer Chair to provide leadership for the Network and to build on the strong foundations already in place. Here’s a few words from Denise about WEN.
“WEN formed from a joint meeting of minds and hearts in Wells 4 years ago and being there from the outset to steer and help grow Wells Environment Network has been exciting and very rewarding. As Chair of WEN, I’ve seen first-hand the immense potential of the network to make a real difference in Wells and the surrounding area. WEN brings organisations and interests together to support the creation of a more sustainable and resilient community. It’s an exciting time to be Chair — the team is inspiring to work with, and there is so much opportunity to make a meaningful impact.”
